2. Clearance Check: Ensure there is sufficient physical clearance underneath your vehicle's chassis (Length, Width, and Height) to accommodate the valved muffler assembly without hitting the frame, driveshaft, or suspension components.

INSTALLATION GUIDE & PRECAUTIONS

1. Positioning: Hoist the vehicle and locate a straight section of the exhaust pipe with ample clearance before the rear axle.
2. Cutting: Measure the length of the valved muffler unit and mark the section on your factory exhaust pipe to be removed. Safely cut out the marked section.
3. Welding: Position the WANMAX RACING valved muffler. Professional TIG or MIG welding is highly recommended to secure the inlet and outlet pipes seamlessly to prevent leaks.
4. Wiring: Route the wiring harness from the underside of the car into the cabin (avoiding high-heat zones like the exhaust pipe itself or moving suspension parts).
5. Power Connection: Plug the control box into the 12V cigarette lighter power source, connect the wiring harness to the valve motor, and test with the remote.

• Professional Installation Required: Welding equipment and automotive electrical knowledge are required. Do not attempt a DIY install without proper welding skills.
• Heat Protection: Ensure the electrical wiring is wrapped and routed far away from the exhaust pipes to prevent melting.
• Voltage Input: Strictly use 12V DC power. Do not connect to 24V systems.

TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE

• Q: The valve does not open or close when pressing the remote control.
  • A: Check if the red indicator light on the remote lights up (replace battery if dead). Check if the cigarette lighter plug is securely connected and the control box has power. Inspect the wire harness under the car for any signs of heat damage or disconnection.
• Q: The valve opens/closes halfway or makes a grinding noise.
  • A: Carbon buildup or road debris may be jamming the butterfly valve. Disconnect power, spray the internal valve flap with high-quality carburetor cleaner or penetrating lubricant (e.g., WD-40), and manually check for smooth movement.
• Q: I hear an exhaust leak when the valve is closed.
  • A: Inspect the welded joints around the inlet and outlet pipes for pinholes. If the leak is inside the valve, check for debris blocking the butterfly valve from sealing completely.
