DESCRIPTION
Take total control over your vehicle’s exhaust note and performance with the WANMAX RACING Universal Dual Electric Valve Muffler Kit.
This high-performance system features an advanced twin-valve design integrated into a premium polished stainless steel muffler, giving you the ultimate flexibility to alter your car's acoustics and backpressure at the click of a button.
Unlike single-valve setups, the dual electronic actuators orchestrate a flawless transition between a civilized, street-legal purr and a fully unleashed, aggressive race roar. Available in five popular diameters and two steel grades to match your specific build requirements.
KEY FEATURES
- Advanced Twin-Valve System: Equipped with dual heavy-duty electric actuators to provide superior exhaust gas flow management and a wider acoustic range compared to traditional single-valve setups.
- 3-Mode Smart Remote Control: Features an intuitive remote with ON (Loud Mode), OFF (Quiet Mode), and AUTO functionality for effortless, real-time cabin customization.
- Premium Material Grades: Available in budget-friendly 201 Stainless Steel or maximum-durability, corrosion-resistant 304 Stainless Steel for extreme weather and road conditions.
- High-Torque Electronic Actuators: Engineered with premium internal gears and heat-resistant housings to deliver snappy, reliable valve action under intensive exhaust heat.
- Flawless Seal & Zero Drone: High-precision butterfly valves guarantee a complete airtight seal when closed, preventing exhaust leaks and minimizing annoying highway cabin drone.

VEHICLE FITMENT
- Universal Application: Fits a wide variety of domestic and import cars, trucks, and SUVs running naturally aspirated, turbocharged, or supercharged gas/diesel engines.
- Important Note: This is a weld-on fabrication kit and not a direct bolt-on swap. Modifications, pipe-cutting, and custom welding are required for installation. Please ensure you choose the diameter that corresponds to your vehicle's mid-pipe or axle-back exhaust setup.
MEASUREMENT CONFIRMATION
Please complete these vital pre-purchase checks to guarantee compatibility:
- Verify Pipe Outside Diameter (OD): Use a digital caliper to measure the exact Outside Diameter (OD) of your current exhaust piping where the unit will be welded. Match it with our 2", 2.5", 2.75", 3", or 3.5" options.
- Under-Car Clearance Check: Inspect your vehicle’s underside. Ensure there is plenty of physical width and height clearance near your existing muffler zone to accommodate the oversized dual-valve body without interfering with the chassis, driveshaft, or suspension links.

INSTALLATION GUIDE & PRECAUTIONS
Installation Steps:
- Mock-Up & Alignment: Lift the car safely using a shop hoist. Hold the dual-valve muffler assembly up against the existing exhaust tract to map out the ideal placement.
- Exhaust Pipe Cutting: Mark the required length on your factory exhaust tubing and cleanly cut out the designated section using a pipe cutter or sawzall.
- Professional Welding: Align the inlet and outlet necks. A professional technician must perform TIG or MIG welding to create leak-proof joints between the kit and your factory piping.
- Harness Routing: Pass the waterproof wiring connectors from the undercarriage into the vehicle cabin through a factory floor grommet. Keep wires clear of hot exhaust metal and moving suspension parts.
- Power Setup: Plug the controller into your vehicle's 12V cigarette outlet, attach the dual wire splits to the valve actuators, and test the remote commands.
Precautions:
- Professional Help Advised: Do not attempt to install without proper welding tools and automotive electrical experience.
- Thermal Management: Secure all dangling wires tightly with zip ties away from heat sources to avoid wire melting or shorting out.
- Voltage Rating: Exclusively designed for 12V setups. Do not wire into 24V commercial vehicle systems.
TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE
-
Q: The dual valves are completely unresponsive when using the remote.
- A: Check if the remote's LED indicator lights up upon pressing a button. Make sure the 12V cigarette lighter plug is fully seated and the green/red power indicator on the control box is active. Inspect the under-car harnesses for pinch points or heat melting.
-
Q: One valve opens fully but the second valve stays stuck or moves slowly.
- A: This is usually caused by road grit, salt, or heavy carbon accumulation inside the valve housing. Turn off the vehicle, let the exhaust cool down completely, disconnect the power, and apply a liberal amount of high-grade carburetor cleaner or penetrating fluid (like WD-40) directly onto the butterfly valve pivots. Manually work the valve flap until it moves freely.
-
Q: There is a whistling or puffing sound when the valves are entirely shut.
- A: Visually inspect the newly welded joints on either side of the muffler for pinholes or cracks. If the weld is solid, inspect the inside of the valve throats to ensure no welding slag or road debris is preventing the dual flaps from setting perfectly flush against their interior seals.
